WHAT IS A CARBON FOOTPRINT?
A carbon footprint measures the total amount of greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide and methane, that are released into the atmosphere as a direct result of our activities. These emissions primarily stem from the burning of fossil fuels for energy, transportation, industrial processes, and more.
Understanding one's carbon footprint is crucial because these greenhouse gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to the phenomenon known as global warming. The repercussions of increased global temperatures include rising sea levels, more frequent and severe weather events, loss of biodiversity, and disruptions to ecosystems and human societies.
Currently, the global average carbon footprint per individual is approximately 4 tons. However, in some regions, this figure can be as high as 16 tons. To mitigate the worst effects of climate change and aim for a more sustainable future, experts suggest that the global average needs to be reduced to below 2 tons per person annually by 2050.
Achieving this significant reduction requires collective effort. It means transitioning to renewable energy sources, enhancing energy efficiency, rethinking transportation methods, and making informed daily choices.
CERTIFICATION AND PROGRESS

In 2022, our carbon emissions data revealed that 90% of our emissions came from electricity, 4.5% from domestic water use, and 2.59% from gasoline and diesel consumption. The total carbon emissions amounted to 616.84 Ton CO2e.
